Manual and massage therapy are generally incredible methods for healing from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Hands on therapy and soft tissue work alleviate pain, increases circulation, and increases range of motion and functional movement. Massage and manual therapy increase quality of life after an accident, helping decrease anxiety and stress. Papillon Bodywork bills for motor vehicle accident claims only with a doctor’s referral/prescription.  While it sometimes it takes a couple of days for issues to arise, see your doctor as soon as possible after your accident to be evaluated for injury. Please wait at least 72 hours after an auto accident to receive massage/manual therapy.

Here are the steps for receiving care from Papillon Bodywork for an auto injury:

  1. If you have Medical Payments (MedPay) on your personal auto policy then Papillon Bodywork will bill your insurance directly.

  2. If you do not have MedPay but were not at fault, Papillon Bodywork will provide you the proper documentation for you to submit for reimbursement when you pay out of pocket at the time of service. Please note that I do not bill third party claims directly.

  3. For either option, make sure you have an open claim. Papillon Bodywork will need your adjusters information and a medical claim number. Please contact me before you book so I can get the necessary information and verify your claim. Email or call/text 503-750-3473.

  4. Papillon Bodywork will only bill with a referral for massage/manual therapy from a licensed health care provider: your doctor, a nurse practitioner or a chiropractor (not a physical therapist). The referral must include the date, specific diagnosis codes and recommended frequency/duration of visits, including how many visits.

  5. Once we have established your claim, schedule your appointment with me, online is the easiest way. A credit card is required to hold your appointment but will not be charged.
